A visionary and leader in these creative arenas, Tracy’s wealth of experience, expertise and imagination makes her one of the most highly sought after working artists in her respective oeuvres today.}

{Tracy is also a leader in organizing large-scale public arts projects worldwide, with extensive knowledge in project management and planning to international team building. Tracy has consulted in developing street painting festivals in Asia, North America, India and throughout the US. She recently completed a tour of India, sponsored by the American Center at the US Consulate General, creating exhibition 3D street paintings and teaching workshops at 5 distinguished universities and art colleges in that country. She was selected to coordinate the following projects: a reproduction of Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel ceiling for the 2003 Youth In Arts 10th Anniversary street painting festival; in 2005, Hong Kong’s first ever Street Painting ‘Spectacolore’; and a second reproduction of the Sistine Chapel ceiling in conjunction with the 2007 Universal Forum of Culturesin Monterrey, Mexico. Additionally, Tracy promotes arts education and has conducted street painting workshops at these festivals and other events throughout the US, including the prestigious Getty Center in Los Angeles.}

“I’m a street painter – I draw things with chalk pastels on pavement; typically streets, plazas or sidewalks in urban public areas. I have a passion for manipulating 2D surfaces to reveal an unlikely alternative in 3D, typically designing and creating interactive images which invite the viewer to become part of my imagined world. As a result, communicating through this manner of direct participation has certainly become the keystone of my philosophy on being a visual artist. The ephemeral nature of this art form has taught me how to let go of expectations, trust in my abilities and enjoy process. I tend to work intuitively, often creating or developing each painting in the moment – I may not know exactly how it will look before I begin but I listen to my impulses and find they always lead me to wonderful discoveries and results. Technically my works are completed rather quickly: 1 to 3 days being the limit for most paintings. It’s a very physical way to make something and an appropriate conduit for my needs to 1.) Stay in motion and 2.) Visually reinvent whatever real estate I stake out. My chalk conversations speak from imagination, beauty & playfulness through imagined and referenced sources, with nods toward art history, personal history, contemporary cultural iconography & global cultural influences. Perception, geometry, lighting, color and movement are essential to my work – as much as accessing my intuitive impulses. In choosing this unorthodox manner in which to communicate with others, I have surely found a suitable medium to express my visions of mind and heart.”

The KING of Swing

So I recently cancelled my cable and only have NETFLIX: NETFLIX. There are so many random, horrible, great, amusing, boring movies. I’m still digging through the rows & rows of movies to choose from. I stumbled across AMERICAN SWING: http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/American_Swing/70108791?trkid=2361637#height2010:

{Mathew Kaufman and Jon Hart direct this documentary that chronicles the rise, heyday and decline of New York City’s Plato’s Retreat, the legendary sex club that catered to adventurous heterosexual couples in the 1970s and beyond. Featuring frank interviews with former members and graphic footage of the club’s activities, the film explores how a once-thriving center of free love imploded amid drugs, tangled relationships and the rise of AIDS.}

This documentary is “FOR THE UNINHIBITED ONLY”. It is filled with some crazy, XXXrated, real life footage of te club in the late 70′s early 80′s It’s narrated by interviews with employees & attendees of the night club. It discusses the crazy “SEXUALLY FORWARD” ~WFL happenings of Plato’s Retreat and shows film clips of a BONE-a-FIED “Swinger’s Ball”. Wow one of thee raciest, interesting documentaries I have ever seen, & I’m one tough cookie to please. I’ll leave you with one juicy tidbit from this fascinating documentary about the owner Larry Levenson aka The KING OF SWING….

There was one specific incident speaking about a love triangle between Larry Levenson, Mary, his “life partner”, & their chauffeur. Some people believe in the 80s when Larry Levenson was kidnapped & beaten, it was a plot the chauffeur set up because he was IN LOVE with MARY! It is yet to be proven & still an unsolved mystery. This documentary is “FOR THE UNINHIBITED ONLY” it is a true story, an exciting & accurate account of the crazy 70s & 80s in Manhattan.

El Gusano

The MAD GENIUS I adore, Worm has a passing interest in the fine art of wine making. The complete process can take anywhere from 3 months to a year, from start-up to bottling.

(I designed his label for him, yes I do it up DIY stylee too!)
This man is the D.I.Y. KING. He even goes green. He uses mostly recycled bottles some as old as the prohibition era = 1920′s. Worm makes his wine to give to his friends & family. If your lucky maybe one day you’ll get taste of his delicious home-made VINO El GUSAnO.

Let’s get physical….PHYSICAL!

Exercise in essential part of living healthy that I struggle with. Being built of a small frame you would think I exercise regularly…. Hell NO! Bwahahahahahhaha……. I am about as lazy as they come. I sit @ a desk 10 hours a day, which I must say dealing with patients, doctors, & pharmacists all day is mentally exhausting, and then I go home & sit in front of my computer till bedtime. I have newly added cleaning (something else I despise) & popping practice to my daily schedule in hopes that these things will become part of my daily routine. Every Saturday I have committed to a family exercise day as well. On this particular Saturday in December I managed to hike 2/3 of Camelback Mountain.

To be truthfully, painfully honest the only reason I made it that far was because there was an elderly women on my heels the whole time!! Hahaha… Yes I am very competitive.

Below is a map of how to get to the CamelBack Mountain Trail.

Top 10 Reasons to Exercise
Keep excess pounds at bay. Combined with a healthy diet, aerobic exercise helps you lose weight — and keep it off.
Increase your stamina. Aerobic exercise may make you tired in the short-term. But over the long-term, you’ll enjoy increased stamina and reduced fatigue.
Ward off viral illnesses. Aerobic exercise activates your immune system. This leaves you less susceptible to minor viral illnesses, such as colds and flu.
Reduce health risks. Aerobic exercise reduces the risk of many conditions, including obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, stroke and certain types of cancer. Weight-bearing aerobic exercises, such as walking, reduce the risk of osteoporosis.
Manage chronic conditions. Aerobic exercise helps lower high blood pressure and control blood sugar. If you’ve had a heart attack, aerobic exercise helps prevent subsequent attacks.
Strengthen your heart. A stronger heart doesn’t need to beat as fast. A stronger heart also pumps blood more efficiently, which improves blood flow to all parts of your body.
Keep your arteries clear. Aerobic exercise boosts your high-density lipoprotein (HDL), or “good,” cholesterol and lowers your low-density lipoprotein (LDL), or “bad,” cholesterol. The potential result? Less buildup of plaques in your arteries.
Boost your mood. Aerobic exercise can ease the gloominess of depression, reduce the tension associated with anxiety and promote relaxation.
Stay active and independent as you get older. Aerobic exercise keeps your muscles strong, which can help you maintain mobility as you get older. Aerobic exercise also keeps your mind sharp. At least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise three days a week seems to reduce cognitive decline in older adults.
Live longer. People who participate in regular aerobic exercise appear to live longer than those who don’t exercise regularly.
