IRAQI BLAST WALLS GET A FACE LIFT

{One of the first things you notice when traveling in Iraq are the blast walls. These giant concrete barriers are everywhere – in front of government buildings, schools, mosques and dividing Shia from Sunni neighborhoods. They remind me of the "peace walls" put up in Northern Ireland to keep opposing sides from killing each other.} GADLING.COM

The Iraqi locals have started to beautify these eye sores with street art. Some art works are simple graffiti; other works are officially sanctioned murals with a message.

A kapala is a cup made from a human skull used as a ritual tool in Hindu Tantra and Buddhist Tantra. They were often carved or elaborately encased with precious metals and jewels.

Qo - Control Room Remix Contest

{Due to the glowing response to the free track Qo so kindly graced everyone with, titled "Control Room" and with some top quality remixes going around, we thought "why not set up a competition".

Rules are simple: -

* Use your creative mind and create a remix. 

* This competition is open to all genres (Electro, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, etc) so be as imaginative as you want. 

* Only CLIPS of up to 3 minutes maximum are to be uploaded. Please do not upload the full length track, as will be automatically rejected. 

* Please only submit entries via soundcloud, and not AIM, Skype, Facebook or ICQ. 

* Only final cut of the track is to be submitted. Please do not upload the track unless you are 110% happy with the end product.

4 tracks will be selected, with the artists of the winning tracks featuring on a release on Overtech Recordings. 

The winners will also receive the whole Overtech Recordings back catalogue of releases.
